Here are some of the basic things you will need to start your new web design started::
• A Domain Name: If you don't already have one, you can register the name yourself or do a search to find out if a name is available at Register.com or I can assist you get it setup if you are not sure how to go about it.Domain registration fees usually run about $30.00 a year or less.
• A hosting company: Next important thing you need in order to have your site online is a "Hosting Company". This will actually be the location on the web where your website files will reside. I can recommend a hosting company if you don't already have one (most basic hosting programs cost anywhere between $10-20 a month, depending on options selected)
• Email Address List: Provide a list of email addresses related to the site.
• Brief description of business & collateral materials: state your goals for the site; also provide any relevant printed and any marketing materials you currently use (logos, brochures, etc.) that will help guide thru the design process.
• Basic Site Structure: How many pages? menu-sidebars? top-nivagation bar? As a new web design starts,
try to to be as clear and concise as possible, specially in regards to overall site structure.
• Text and images for each of the main site pages.
• List of sample sites: Provide a small sample list of some sites you like, that have some aspects, or design, or colors that you like which could used as general guidance in the web design process.
